The training session organized by the National Human Rights Council (CNDH) was launched on Monday morning 18 December 2023, at the Rabat Driss Benzekri Institute for the benefit of a delegation from the National Human Rights Commission in Ethiopia. It aims to share the CNDH experience in protecting and promoting human rights as a National Human Rights Institution (NHRI).

The visit of the delegation of the Ethiopian NHRI will extend until 21 December 2023 and is organized as part of enhancing relations and cooperation with institutions that are members of the Network of African National Human Rights Institutions (NANHRI). Its objective is to strengthen capacities and share experiences and expertise related to human rights with the Ethiopian NHRI.

In his opening statement, Mr. Mourad Errarhib, Director of the Rabat Driss Benzekri Institute, reviewed various areas of CNDH’s missions, including monitoring and protecting human rights, handling complaints, protecting human rights in places of deprivation of liberty, the rights of foreigners, rights of persons with disabilities and children, public freedoms, justice, etc.
